I receive a weekly alert from Facebook with which friends have birthdays upcoming in the next week. After I read it I would like to be able to schedule a post to appear on their wall at the appropriate time, without having to remember to do it on the appropriate day. Is this possible?

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "Application/website recommendations are off-topic and out of scope. It is better instead to use a particular web app or website and ask for help in any issues you have with it specifically." – Al E., Vidar S. Ramdal, Alex, Hydra, Rubén
If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

First thing that came to my mind, not really answer to your question, but also helps to postpone posting to more appropriate time: socialmediasobrietytest.com – Aivar Dec 21 '10 at 13:25

Try schedule-it. It's a Facebook app that lets you schedule posts to your walls and your friend's walls. It allows you to specify the time and date.

Possible? Yes. Does such thing exists? VERY unlikely. Very specific needs.

I'm sorry if I have to be blatant but consider coding it yourself, it will be a fun experience.

Yeh, I may get round to having at go at it myself someday – Casebash Nov 19 '10 at 20:52

I haven't tried it out myself. But it looks like this web-app called sendible might be able to help you.

Take a look at the screenshots on their service tour page

hootsuite and SN managers let you schedule tweets and facebook posts, but not really wallposts. So I guess your options are limited – thunderror Sep 8 '10 at 8:10
It only lets you schedule posting on your own wall – Casebash Sep 8 '10 at 11:09
Too bad. I wonder if Facebook's API deliberately stops you from doing this, since it could promote spam. – thunderror Sep 11 '10 at 18:46

HootSuite has a scheduler to facebook and facebook pages

Again, I think it only lets you post on your own wall – Casebash Sep 29 '10 at 5:00
I think you're right ... – Radek Sep 29 '10 at 5:08

if you are using facebook api to post on your friends wall, then there is a chance for scheduling the wall post. Run a cron job daily at specific time to check the notifications of your friends and then post on their wall if their birthday coming.
