Is there a webapp that allows users to see what a web page looks like without actually visiting the page directly?

I'm sure there are many use cases for this, but I'll just mention the one that led to me asking this question. There's a list of Stack Exchange clones on Meta Stack Overflow, and I just ran across a report of one that's not on the list. I want to check it out, but at least one site on that list has been known to run... questionable scripts, so I don't want to point my browser there directly.

A decent AV product can be your best friend, even some of the free ones like MS's Security Essentials will catch rogue scripts when they enter the cache. – slugster Sep 5 '10 at 11:05

Screenshots may reveal limited details. Consider turning off JavaScript in your browser while visiting dubious sites.

Snap Shots? It was all the rage a few years ago with bloggers. When users hover over a link they get a little preview window.
