I run a one-man startup. For a while I was wondering what kind of animation to create, till I saw the one for Google Priority Inbox. Very simple & intuitive.

Are there any easy-to-use online tools (preferably free) to create something like that? I know hiring someone would be better but I want to try it out myself if possible.

Would prefer if you have actually used it.

Xtranormal is one, I believe that was used for the infamous "mongodb is webscale" cartoon. Xtranormal models are 3d-esque. For cartoonish characters, perhaps Dvolver or Digital films would be more suited.

Thanks Sathya, these sites are great. But I don't guess they give me the ability to upload custom pictures. I'm going to start looking for an independent flash designer for this. – PlanetUnknown Sep 16 '10 at 19:36
