That's pretty much it, I have a web app online and I want a web app that can monitor the status of my app and can reach me (email, sms, or what evere) when my site is down. I would be a plus if it could also check for my WCF services, and a big plus if it's also free :) |

Check out http://www.siteuptime.com/ They have 3 different plans to choose from from free to $10 a month. The free plan comes with email alerts and checks your site every 30 or 60 minutes. If you need more frequent checks you could upgrade to either the $5 or $10 a month packages. |

Try AlertFox, they have a good free plan: http://www.alertfox.com/free-website-monitoring/ You say you run a web app (as opposed to a simple static site) - in this case the Alertfox multi-step monitoring (aka transaction monitoring) feature is really useful. You can record a sequence in Firefox and AlertFox replays this test inside the web browser over and over again. It sends you a detailed error message and browser screenshot(!) if something goes wrong. One such test is included in the free account! |
