I do a lot of online shopping at all the major sites like Newegg, Buy.com, TigerDirect, Amazon, etc. I frequently check prices using tools like dealnews, slickdeals, and FatWallet.

When I'm shopping for something in particular, I usually just start up a spreadsheet and go monotonously through the links, normalizing the data as I go for comparison's sake.

Is there a site that can serve as my data dumping ground for product research? I've tried sites like PriceGrabber, but I can find better deals on my own. I just need a place to put them.

Not yet. I'm working on something that would fit the bill though. – Ape-inago Feb 22 '11 at 2:31

You could use SpringPad to capture the product page you have found. This webapp will recognize the product and additional data about it including the price and will store it for you in the form of notes similar to Evernote

Whoa this MIGHT be the most amazing thing I've found online in a long time. Going to check it out and make sure it's everything it says it is before I hand over the bounty though :) – NoCatharsis Feb 23 '11 at 19:22
