I just had this idea that I could use Google Talk much like a dictaphone, by chatting with myself. This way I could log random little notes and have them turn up when I do a search in Gmail. However, you can't actually chat with yourself in Google Talk. Is there some way around this? |

If you have two GMail accounts, you can chat from one to the other. Or you could open a new mail and save it as a draft. (And if you Shift-click on Compose, it will pop a new window for the message composition.) Those are the only two methods I know of. |

You can use IFTTT's chatbot to echo, e-mail your chat to you, or simply swallow your chat since it's archived anyway. |
