I want to create an animation that flips through pages and content like a real world paper book.

Is there some kind of web application that lets you enter content (e.g. poems) and generates an animation that digitally simulates turning pages?

There's proprietary software that offers this kind of functionality such as TurnPage but if you are looking for something a little less professional there are freeware programes around such as Flip Word.

Try the Viewbook jQuery plugin to create the flipping effect. Though it is not a ready-made web app, going by the usage instructions it should be easy to implement. There are also lots of examples available.

I know this is a bit old but I recently found this JavaScript script for creating animated page turns. From what I can see it's the best implementation of this effect I've seen.
