Use Facebook Graph API /{user-id}/friendlists edge to read the list id, then use /{friendlist-id}/members edge to read its list of members and save it into a text editor. Join the two results into one, then use the same API to either create a new list or update one of the two lists with the new members.

This is not possible anymore. A couple of years ago you could just choose the option "merge lists" in the drop-down-menu in the upper right corner of the list (See this post from 2011). But this is not possible since Facebook revamped the lists in 2011. Old lists (lists created before 3rd quarter of 2011) should still have the possibility to be merged into ...
