You could use the Google Command Line tool. google picasa list google picasa delete --title "Your album name" You would have to create a batch file to delete multiple albums by name. Coming from the reverse, in the Picasa Desktop app tagging the photos does not change the photos at all (I know this as mine are never changed in my incremental backups after tagging). The face information is stored in the picasa.ini file linked to a database file in the user profile. When I have uploaded the pictures to Picasa Web the face tags are ...

One way to do this would be to utilize the GoogleCL tool. GoogleCL is a command-line interface (utilizing Python scripts, but the Windows version includes a wrapper so you don't have to manually install and set up Python) to various Google services, including Picasa. (I'm assuming you're on the Windows platform for these commands, but equivalents exist on ...

There is nothing you can do besides making them private. If the browser sees the picture the browser can store the picture. This is true for any picture on the internet with the exception of pictures embedded in some sort of flash application but still with a hi res monitor you can get a very nice quality screen shot. By checking no printing and no ...

It looks like somebody did something and it might get fixed. From a Google Employee on their official forums: Hi folks, Sorry if I caused confusion with my first post - I meant to say that we're trying to get the Google Reader link fixed in Gmail. Google Reader itself isn't broken. Until we do, you can find the link to Google Reader by ...

Its too bad that Google now requires forwarding addresses to be verified, but it was likely a huge security issue when they previously didn't. The same question has been asked on the 'official' Picasa Web Album forum. Looks like the best answer is to use an intermediary email forwarding service that doesn't require verification, such as Gawab

I'm going to explain it as simply as I can. Picasa Web Album or Youtube, both are Photo/Video Sharing Service, where the main motive is the distribution of content among viewers, which can be done without the option to download. Providing the feature to download a content always has a copyright issue as they'll be giving you the complete control over that ...

Now that Google seems to be leaning towards "Google Photos" or whatever they're going to call it, you can download your Picasa Web videos. Here's how: Go to the Google+ version of your site ( http://www.google.com/+ ). On the left hand side, click on the "Photos" icon. Find and click on the album with the video you want to download. Pictures smaller than 2048 x 2048 pixels are ignored and they don't count as used space, only bigger pictures. So you might worry to clear only those pictures that are bigger than that. Source: Free storage - Picasa and Picasa web albums help

Google has just announced that Gmail, Drive, and Google+ Photos will now share 15GB of free storage. I just discovered another way that also seems to update your wall automatically when you post new photos. On your Facebook wall there is a button "Options" below the status update box. Clicking on this will reveal another button "Setting". There you can add your Picasa site. Uploading a picture to my Picasa account automatically triggered an update on my ...

Within Gmail its going to be impossible since as you said, you do not get to see the text of the email inside of the Picasaweb dropbox, so you can't ever "verify" the forwarding address. I've done something similar to this using a desktop client running in the background as another layer of filtering to do things that Gmail can't quite do yet. e.g. ...

While the help doesn't explicitly mention this case, the 'Sync to Web' basics page has the following: Once you've enabled the Sync to Web feature, you can sync the following changes from Picasa to Picasa Web Albums: Added or deleted photos So I would assume that if you delete a folder locally it would also get deleted on the web. My ...

I have found a way around this if you have an apps account. I use Google Apps accounts for different non-profits. You can create a Group (photos@domain.com) and forward to the Picasa address that is much longer. Make sure to allow posting from the internet when you setup the group. You can use the group address just like an email address.

You can't, at the moment. Use Picasa on your local computer. I loved this online feature too, and it's sad that it's gone. However, seeing that the capability appeared only online, and later in the application, I suspect that they removed it from online because it's difficult to merge your face/name assignments from online into your local Picasa ...

You should take a look at Migratr Migratr is a desktop application which moves photos between popular photo sharing services. Migratr will also migrate your metadata, including the titles, tags, descriptions and album organization. I am not sure if it will transfer video or not but it is definitely worth a try.

If you don't mind coding a bit, you can do this with https://github.com/contextio/Gallery (you need to get an API key from here). I never tried the Picasa API, but there seems to be one: http://code.google.com/apis/picasaweb/overview.html

You can also try Showzey. You can index all the photos you have in your gmail account (at first, it won't copy your photos). You can then copy the photos to picasa (or to another service). I didn't try to batch copy all the pics though.
