Go to the Customize section after you log in Click on the Theme tab Click Use custom HTML This will bring up a edit box that contains the HTML and tumblr code used by the theme. Put the code for the tags somewhere between the opening {block:Posts} and closing {/block:Posts} tags. To start off easy, let's put the tags at the bottom of all your post ...

You can stop others notifications of photos you are tagged in appearing. Go to http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy&ref=mb and select "Customise settings". On that page there's an option in the "Things others share" section: Photos and videos I'm tagged in Select the drop down and pick "Customise". You then get this dialog Select ...

Coming from the reverse, in the Picasa Desktop app tagging the photos does not change the photos at all (I know this as mine are never changed in my incremental backups after tagging). The face information is stored in the picasa.ini file linked to a database file in the user profile. When I have uploaded the pictures to Picasa Web the face tags are ...

It may be tedious, but it looks like you'll have to include the HasTags block in each of the section types. Starting with the first you'll end up with this: {block:Text} <li class="post text"> <!-- HTML layout for Text posts --> {block:HasTags} {block:Tags} <a ...

The code that are trying to include shows tags under each post and needs to be included somewhere between {block:Posts} and {/block:Posts}. In addition, your posts must have tags if you want tags to be shown (that's why it's called HasTags). Tags are to be specified in the dedicated field when you're creating or editing a post. If you are talking about a ...

Here's the official response from Tumblr support: Beth, Nov-16 13:33 (EST): Hello, If you are using a substantial number of tags on your posts, you may find that Tumblr doesn't show all of them in saved tags lists. The list may be shortened in order to ensure the pages where you create and edit posts load quickly. You can still use as ...

Try some CSS trickery (to get it to work in IE 8, you need to specify a <!DOCTYPE> at the top of the document). <p class="permalink"> <a href="{Permalink}">{NoteCountWithLabel}</a> {block:HasTags} &nbsp;&nbsp; # filed under: {block:Tags} <a class="tag" ...

Doesn't seem like you can ignore tags at this point in time. If it was possible, it could also be linked to not have a certain tag show up when viewing combinations of tags: Is there a way to use "not" in tag combinations? What about "or"? There's no way to use "not" yet; we'd like to do this in the future, but it's impractical for the time being. ...

It appears that tags with hyphens have been dashed. Looks like Tumblr pulled support for tags with hyphens (-) as far back as December 2011. If you email them you'll get something along the following: Tumblr is no longer supporting tags with hyphens. This change has been made to ensure consistency in tags and tag searches. We are aware that this ...

You can achieve this by going to your Privacy Settings. Select Edit Settings under "How Tags Work" Click Off next to Timeline Review Review the information about Timeline Review and select Enabled from the dropdown.

I've got another idea. {block:Tags}<a class="tag" href="{TagURL}">{Tag}</a><span class="tagtail"></span>{/block:Tags} This will add a span with the "tagtail" class after every tag. Then, add this css: span.tagtail + a.tag:before { content:", "; } This will select every tag anchor that comes after a tagtail span (so every one ...

Following on from @Jeremy's answer... To support IE8 (and IE7) you will need to use the first-child pseudo-class, rather than last-child. IE8 does not support last-child, even in standards compliant mode (ie. with a DOCTYPE). a.tag:before { content:", "; /* comma + space */ } a.tag:first-child:before { content:""; } EDIT: However, a slight ...

Log into http://www.delicious.com At the top there should be Home Bookmarks People Tags, click on Tags, My Tags On the right hand side, underneath the search bar, highlighted in blue click on Delete Tags Choose a tag from the dropdown. This will remove that tag from your bookmarks, and delete the tag. To just remove the tag from certain bookmarks ...

This feature allows you to combine several related tags into a logical grouping. So, for instance, you might combine the tags "hitter", "pitcher", and "fielder" into a bundle and call it "Baseball". It doesn't change anything about the existing tags, but does allow you to create another level of heirarchy. When looking at your bookmarks, del.icio.us will ...

Good question. Let me explain the answer one by one. If you are the one uploading that photo, your privacy settings will apply to the post. If you've set the friends of friends settings, all the friends of your friends can see the photo, if you tag your friends in it. The exception is if you've explicitly excluded a person or list from the post. In that ...

I will assume your resume/CV is in LaTeX or TeX, since you already asked there. I used this method with my LaTeX resume the last time I was looking for work: Don't use fancy columns or layouts. PDF parsers seem to work from left to right, line by line, so text from columns get mixed together. Keep the text as one flow. Make it simple. Use a pdf to text ...

You'll have to go to the comment in order to untag yourself. Go to the comment (either through notification or via the post for which the comment appears) Click on the edit icon in the uper right-hand corner Select Report/Remove Tag I'm not sure why, but sometimes Remove will appear next to your name when in the comment, in that case (obviously) click ...

As taken from Facebook's Help page, you cannot. I use the same alternatives as you do. Tagging allows you to more actively mention your friends and other things you are connected to on Facebook. An extra alternative you may want to add to your list is to use the Facebook Like Feature on websites. This way at least users can like your status. For ...

HyperBK seems precisely to be what you are looking for. It is a add-on for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/hyperbk/?src=ss The main functions are: Automatically recommend a place in the tree of HyperBK tree of bookmarks (It uses advanced algorithms to analyse the Web page for this recommendation) Store the link there with a thumbnail ...

I have been looking up any related research and all the sources I have found seem to have only theoretical examples. One research paper lists Delicious (which you mentioned) as a real world service example, but the other related work seems to be theoretical or things that have been abandoned since. There's also a paper on a Firefox extension called HyperBK, ...

Include the following code: {block:HasTags} {block:Tags} <a class="tag" href="{TagURL}">{Tag}</a> {/block:Tags} {/block:HasTags} in the block for each type of post. So you will have this seven times: in {block:Text}, in {block:Audio}, etc. Put this right before the closing of the block (so right before {/block:Text}, for ...

This is accomplished through the Facebook Graph API. At Facebook's core is the social graph; people and the connections they have to everything they care about. The Graph API presents a simple, consistent view of the Facebook social graph, uniformly representing objects in the graph (e.g., people, photos, events, and pages) and the connections ...

Hopefully I get this because I am not sure I understand whether you want this done automatically. Manually you can just rename the less used tag to the more used tag.

For the tab suggestions you'll have to go back to previous posts and remove them manually. Once that's done you'll be able to get the autosuggestions to stop. One way to check is to go to yourtumblr.tumblr.com/tags/tagiwanttodelete and make sure none are there. However, popular tags used by other Tumblrs will still show up in the suggestions.

Answered my own question: Within the block for each post type (for example {block:Quote}), add at the end: {block:PermalinkPage} {block:HasTags} {block:Tags} <a href="{TagURL}">{Tag}</a> {/block:Tags} {/block:HasTags} {/block:PermalinkPage} {/block:Quote} Do not add before {/block:Posts}, as when adding tags to the main page.

I was told by a guy who works in the unemployment office: You should always, always keep and upload a formatted plain text version. What happens behind the scenes is that PDFs and Word docs get parsed and mangled when the servers look for keywords in your résumé. Trust me; he's right.

[moved from a series of comments into an answer] Using an IFTTT recipe for sending the favorites to Pinboard: you can automatically tag tweets that you favorite with a dynamic set of parameters: You can then go into Pinboard and batch retag a group of tweets with whatever other information you want to include. The REAL Reason Your Posts Don't Show Up In Tags [What Tumblr Doesn't Want You To Know] You might think you know all about Tumblr's post and tag limits, but here's what they don't want you to know and why Tumblr will never ever have any commercial business value to Yahoo. Tumblr intentionally prevents more than 3 posts from the same blog to the same tag ...

this worked with me but i'm not sure if it will work the same for you, paste: {block:HasTags} {block:Tags} <a href="{TagURL}">{Tag}</a> {/block:Tags} {/block:HasTags} {/block:Posts} just after the opening of the notecount tag, so after {block:PostNotes} so it it looks a little something like: {block:PostNotes} ...
