Alternatives for Google Reader Netvibes just stalls at the "Dashboard build in progress ... Initialize theme" screen when I try to add my first feed under the "Go basic" option. |

Is there a free webapp or webservice for creating / hosting custom RSS feeds? In fact I knew about this tool but didn't know it could make feeds. I did get a feed working but the tool is so hard to learn that my feed currently has just a single word in it! I couldn't work out how to add other important fields like the link. If anyone's interested I made a feed for the latest version of jQuery: Pipes page, RSS feed |

Is there a free webapp or webservice for creating / hosting custom RSS feeds? Hi close-voters. On the other SE sites I'm active on it's encouraged to leave some constructive criticism when voting down or to close. If it's also encouraged here I'm interested in learning how to use the site better but currently can't see a fault in my question. |

Does anyone know of a free concordance webapp that does text analysis of large bodies of texts? Also Google cannot be used programmatically! The API has been withdrawn and screen-scraping is against their terms. |

How do I make a script public in JSFiddle? Where can I set it as the base version? I thought I'd seen it in the past but now can't find it. |

Webapp which can pinpoint lists of places on a map Yes I just found batchgeo independently - seems perfect with my initial tests. I'll check out your other tip too. |

How can I do “Show my location” on Daum maps? @Alex: What does the icon for it look like so I can look for it in their webapp? |

Upgrade gist to full GitHub project without commandline or IDE Well that's really too bad. I wouldn't consider it promotion then after all, especially since they all just use git repos behind the scenes. But at least now we have an answer so thanks for that! Perhaps the best way to address this in the future would be the ability to fork a gist to a full github project? |

Upgrade gist to full GitHub project without commandline or IDE Hmm that's too bad, but with the commandline it would preserve the history, do I understand correctly? |

Upgrade gist to full GitHub project without commandline or IDE Hmm would such a "copy paste promotion" leave a continuous repo or fork or would it just start a new one that internally knew nothing of its origins? |

Is there a free webapp/service to plot data with a nonlinear X axis? Wolfram Alpha has just launched a "Pro" variant which allows uploading and inputting data, including in CSV format. But so far I haven't been able to get it to plot the data in my CVS file. (I ended up writing a JavaScript tool to plot the data using Google Charts' "Annotated Timeline".) |

Is there a map service which overlays Google Maps and Openstreetmaps? Yes I tried that now too but for some reason only the Google Map showed up and the OSM seemed totally blank no matter what I did \-: |

Is there a map service which overlays Google Maps and Openstreetmaps? I can't seem to find any maps there of Tbilisi or Georgia. Maybe I was doing it wrong though... \-: |

Is there a map service which overlays Google Maps and Openstreetmaps? Ideally with transparency/translucency, which is what I thought I found once, but toggling rapidly between both aligned perfectly in the exact same spot at the exact same scale would be a close second best! |

Is there a free webapp/service to plot data with a nonlinear X axis? IBM's Many Eyes looks like a good contender but I can't figure out how to get the x-axis to work with dates or timestamps. |

Is there a free webapp/service to plot data with a nonlinear X axis? Is it normal to downvote and closevote on this Stack Exchange without giving reasons? On most sites it's considered polite to leave constructive comments along with such actions. |

How can I force Google Maps to update “My location” when I move? Where in the left panel? Do you mean the "My location" circle/dot above the street view man? As discussed that doesn't work most of the time. |

How can I force Google Maps to update “My location” when I move? I don't have a GPS device. I only have a cheap netbook connected via WIFI. I think some tricky magick with IP databases or something might be used behind the scenes. My location certainly works without GPS, I just can't get it to update except when it occasionally is in the right mood. |

How can I force Google Maps to update “My location” when I move? Hmm this is exactly what doesn't work for me. This is what causes it to just go back to the last location in its cache. Except sometimes when it does feel like updating to my new location. But it's unpredictable when it will work or not. At least on my OS & browser. |
