How to get directions to my default location in Google Maps @Chris: you're right. In the desktop Maps, Under My Places, that's marked as a "new" feature and exactly what I was looking for. Nice to see they are still improving the app. |

Selecting different address from gmail in “Basic HTML” mode @JMax maybe I'm missing something but I don't see how that helps. Even from the contacts screen, it always chooses the primary email address. I don't see a way to indicate that it should use a secondary one. I could manually copy the address from here but that's painful, esp. if you need to do this for more than one person on an email. An example is that I occasionally want to include multiple addresses for a person, perhaps their home and work email, on a message. |

How can I use the normal (desktop) Gmail on an iPad? I primarily use the HTML mode in the iCab browser. It's definitely not as nice as the desktop version, but when I've tried that, it doesn't seem to work right on the iPad. Wish it did and it seems like the iPad should be able to handle it. Having gmail in the browser is nice when accessing other web pages that link with google. And I use the stars for tagging important items. |

Force Google search to use only the exact words typed, no spellcheck or synonyms Unfortunately, I believe Google recently stopped using the "+" for this purpose. Instead required terms must be individually enclosed in double quotes. |

GMail search Sent Mail / simple way to refer to myself As I was typing the question, it occurred to me to look for the "label" tag and it does work to just use "sent" for Sent Mail. |

GMail search Sent Mail / simple way to refer to myself You're kidding! How long has from:me worked? I swear I tried that a long while back and it didn't work so I hadn't tried it again. I guess that's a downside to continuously adding features - early users don't realize newer stuff is available. |
