comment Gmail Auto Forwarding
Isn’t that what my first answer addresses? I’m really confused.

comment Gmail Auto Forwarding
Microsoft Outlook had it for the longest time. The last version I used was 2013. I believe you had to double-click the message to open it in its own window, then drop down the same menu that had Reply, Reply All and Forward. I’m not sure if this worked on emails received as well as sent. You could also check out Thunderbird since it’s a very popular client.

Would something like this work in Safari with iOS 9 content blockers?

comment When sharing photos on Facebook, how does Facebook prioritize sharing methods? Certain methods don't show up in friends' feeds as often
My personal observation is that posts from apps (any of them) are ranked pretty low when Facebook decides what to show in newsfeeds. Posts made directly through OS integration, through the website, or through a Facebook app, get ranked pretty high. Nothing authoritative, just my observation.

comment Blocking after Facebook deactivation
Yeah, I caveated it with "in my experience" simply because Facebook changes things like this all the time, and also performs isolated testing on a subset of users on occasion. I last checked just a few weeks ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if the behavior was modified since then. At the moment I don't believe I have any deactivated friends to check with.

comment Blocking after Facebook deactivation
In my experience, deactivated accounts still show up in my friends list. However, they have no portrait or hover popups, and clicking them sends me back to the Facebook home page. This is different from permanently-deleted accounts.

comment How does Google know that a password protected zip contains a virus?
If the contents of the file are encrypted with a password, I’d say that’s likely.

comment Gmail filtering attachments without a file extension
Have you tried -filetype? (just a minus before "filetype")

comment Using “Google 2 Step Verification” while on vacation
There are also Windows/Mac/Chrome apps that allow you to setup your computer as an authenticator. Of course this greatly decreases the security of your account, so use good judgment.

comment How can I make my Facebook profile completely private?
Facebook is a great source of news and I know a few people who use it just to get updates from companies, etc. without any interest for the social aspect of it. There’s plenty of reasons someone might not want any information “leaked” out of Facebook. In general I wish people would just stop answering questions with something along the lines of “you’re doing it wrong”.

comment Can I control how often Gmail polls POP3 accounts for incoming mail?
Sadly, this trick stopped working sometime in 2013. Gmail seems to poll POP accounts ≈ every hour on average.

Do note: Photo Stream is unrelated to Dropbox.

comment Facebook Lookback Movie Second Chance?
I went back to the edit page for my own video and I get the same options as before, with a big Update button at the top in place of Share. It seems to have the same functionality as Share did (posts a new video to your timeline).

comment Can a restricted friend see a picture that a mutual friend likes?
George can also simply click the Share link. The photo will be re-shared with his friends, using privacy settings of George's choosing.

comment Two factor gmail authentication: How to login from *either* device?
Exactly the way I described it, which is exactly the way you would login on your computer. That's what I do all the time.

comment Two factor gmail authentication: How to login from *either* device?
I really don't understand the question. If you have your phone with you, you can simply switch to the Authenticator or SMS app, copy the code from there, then back into Google to login...? I do this all the time with just one phone.

comment “Message Clipped” warning has disappeared from Gmail
They just need to get rid of that feature entirely. It adds essentially no value, is extremely detrimental to a large portion of the user base, and results in bugs (and associated maintenance) such as this.

comment How can I auto-delete some spam from Gmail?
Good deal. I know it's confusing because Gmail warns you that is will never match on incoming mail, but it's a lie :) At worst I imagine that could mean the rule may stop working in the future.

comment How can I auto-delete some spam from Gmail?
It works for me on incoming mail. I opened with that statement about forwarding to illustrate how I currently use the is operating to process incoming spam (marking it as not spam).

comment Filter specific words from Google search suggestions
I imagine it would filter the search suggestions as well, since -exclusion filters the term "exclusion" from your search.
