In fact, I found out that as the site owner I can modify the system footer. I think that is what you meant in this answer? I think the site configuration overrides the domain configuration.

Seems like Gmail could use a "recent changes" feature (like you find on web sites or wiki pages). That would allow one to locate messages in such cases. Archiving an "old" message leads to trouble since it won't appear at the top of the All Mail list. However, it would appear at the top of a "recent changes" list.

Jan 28	comment	How to get a Weibo feed to show up in Facebook (for free)? Curiously, Instagram was not blocked when I was in China (Dec'12-Jan'13). This was how I shared the photos to facebook. Other things that don't work: Google+ (mostly because Picasa is blocked) as well as Google Drive. I read that Google Drive was blocked the day it went online, with rumors of China blocking it to protect Chinese cloud services.

Jan 27	comment	How to block sites with Google News? @Hydra your comment led me to test further. It seems that it's a problem with Google multiple sign-in. If I'm signed into more than one account, even though I use the account which has blocked dailymail.co.uk for the news search, the search ignores that setting. The solution is to sign out of all accounts and only sign into the the account which has blocked the site.
