comment How do I link a cell in Google Spreadsheets to a cell in another document?
@VidarS.Ramdal It can, but it needs importrange("abcd123abcd123", "sheet1!A1:C10") e.g., =query(importrange("abcd123abcd123", "sheet1!A1:C10")) ;-)

@pnuts Right now, WP's abuse page is not working for me regardless of the form of abuse I specify.

comment How to report viral hoax blogs on WordPress?
@pnuts WordPress defines abuse on en.wordpress.com/complaints as Defamation, abuse, threats: We suspend content for inciting violence or threatening or impersonating a private person. So, in the sense that this report claims to represent Johns Hopkins hospital, it might indeed be impersonation.

comment How to report viral hoax blogs on WordPress?
@AlE. I disagree that it's not abuse. This "hoax" has appeared in many blogs over time. It eventually gets removed, but before it does, thousands of people re-post it on Facebook and then visit the blog and leave comments (for or against). The blogger doesn't put it on his page for information, but rather for traffic. See my edit for how it's a scam.

comment New Gmail Compose - Drag and Drop Attachments, Photos
I came to this answer because it seems it's broken again (there's a "new" way to add images that hooks to Google+). I'm using the latest Chrome (Version 34.0.1847.116 m) on Windows.

Only useful if your parent folder name is unique. Not always the case...

comment Better way to search the Facebook activity log / timeline?
@R-U-Bn I guess it's still being rolled out progressively. facebook.com/about/graphsearch shows you have to enable it, and it's available for "English audiences."

comment URL shorteners or redirectors whose target links can be changed after it was made
SnipURL has deleted twice my snips in the past 2 years, and I never got an explanation. Definitely not sending unsolicited emails with them in it. I do have a standard reply to my students with a link to my home page, which has an embedded Google Calendar in it that's SnipURL'd... How that gets construed as spam by their automated system is a (confounding) mystery.

How is this different than the alternative I mentioned in the question (ie not a good way)?

+1 and it's faster than the app that brute-force searches, too

Can you post a search that does return dozens of images of the same thing? I'm not seeing this.

comment Quick sign-in to Google Sites for Google Apps for Education?
The word "admin" is vague here... there's a site owner and then there's the "admin" for the entire domain. In fact, I found out that as the site owner I can modify the system footer. I think that is what you meant in this answer? I think the site configuration overrides the domain configuration.

comment How do I retrieve a message I accidentally archived in Gmail?
Over 120k views of this question! Seems like Gmail could use a "recent changes" feature (like you find on web sites or wiki pages). That would allow one to locate messages in such cases. Archiving an "old" message leads to trouble since it won't appear at the top of the All Mail list. However, it would appear at the top of a "recent changes" list.

You set chat visibility to invisible if you don't want anyone to know you are awake.
