comment I want to assign my contacts to different FROM accounts
Of course. I will want to brag about it if I implement it.

I can't do the last one. Too many email addresses - one personal, 2 company, 2 for spam, 2 legacy. All of them have different web clients - horde, OWA, gmail, ... So it would be very annoying to split them. But the second solution is interesting. I will give it a try if the html/js for gmail is not ugly/anonymized. I havent used Greasemonkey yet, but it looks fun.

It can, but I want the name to have the extra info, otherwise I will be lost in my contacts.

And, yes, I know there are extra fields for that, but I sync an iPhone with a google account, so either those fields are lost, or search functionality doesn't work on them.

Yeah, I know that works, but then if in my contacts I have John Stewart as "Z John Stewart I know him from Silvia, he's a mechanic", then sending an email to him, will reveal all that extra info.

They both have what I'm looking for. But these are browser plugins. Not very portable. What about when I'm on my iPhone?
