Oct 24	comment	Why Is Google Drive convinced that I'm offline? I don't have a solution, but I've seen the same thing. Obviously the "heartbeat" being sent back to the Google servers isn't returning (on time) and so the client drops into offline mode. I've not been able to find a consistent time, place, or circumstance for when this happens.

Unless and until Google adds that sort of functionality your only options are going to be browser-specific scripts, which means they're not going to work on mobile browsers, or third-party services to which you will need to give access to your Gmail account.
