comment To what forms of “Where are you” will Google Hangouts afford a “Share your location” button?
@Rubén Ok, I flagged it with a request for migration based on your comment.

@Rubén If you do know another more appropriate site, please suggest it so that it can be migrated there, rather than simply closing my question.

@Rubén Do you know of a more appropriate place to ask about multi-platform software questions? My question is not about adding location from desktop or Android or iOS. I don't know if you can add a question from desktop or not, but I know that you can, using the desktop Hangouts, ask another person (who is using Hangouts on a mobile device) one of the questions and the button will be afforded. My question is about the invocation process, not the provision of the location.

@Rubén It's just as much a part of iOS and desktop as it is part of Android. I just happened to use an Android screenshot because it was available to me at the time of writing.

comment How do I remove a contact from the Gmail chat list without blocking or deleting the contact?
Thanks for the input. I tried this (via Messages on OS X) but there's no way to tell if it worked now that Hangouts has replaced Google Talk in the browser.

comment Can I “opt out” of Google Calendar while keeping my Gmail account?
See my updated answer to remedy your cited concern. However, it is extremely unlikely that you'll manually click "Accept" in the middle of the body of an invitation email. Additionally, you'll want to send all future emails from calendar-notification@google.com to spam, just in case.

I see. Well following these steps will ensure that the concerns in your question won't happen. Your best bet is to contact Google directly. And good luck with that. ;)

Which version of OS X are you using? You can disable calendar syncing and telling us which version you are using would help us explain or refer you to the correct instructions.
