Developer, Systems Admin, Geek, Gadget lover, etc. etc.

I started programming in BASIC at the age of 11 on a Sinclair ZX81, advanced to a BBC Model B, where I learned 6502 assembly language programming. I never really worked with PCs until the early 90s.

In the late 90s, I joined a higher educational institution as a desktop technician, a quickly got promoted to be a systems admin, working predominantly on Windows systems, but also had a keen interest in Linux systems. I later got involved in software development, working in C#, PHP, C.

In my current employment, I'm the manager of the company's Information Systems department. The primary focus of our business is industrial control systems (mostly legacy systems). The work isn't exclusively legacy/control systems though, as we also support modern systems for a number of business customers.

We're always on the lookout for staff who are interested in working with legacy/control systems. Experience or qualifications might help, but aren't always important. A geeky persona is essential though. If you think this would be interested please get in touch with me via our web site, or twitter.

not currently possible does kind of imply that, I must have missed the word 'currently' when I first read it, as I somehow got the impression it wasn't going to be implemented. Apologies and +1.

If I had 2 more rep points, I'd be able to -1 this, for the reason that I've posted above.

This is absolutely essential, as most users outside of the US use the 24 hour clock and DD/MM/YYYY format. It's very frustrating having to spend time working out what date is being represented.

..and another challenge I've been itching to mention, is that whilst free products can be good (as Trello clearly is), trying to convince company directors that our data is safe when we don't have any sort of contract in place with FogCreek would also be a challenge. FogBugz of course would alleviate those concerns too.

I've installed FogBugz for a client that hosts it locally, but I've got to be honest, I've never actually used it myself. I thought FogBugz was vertical software, specifically targeted at software developers, (which technically we are, however it isn't the focus of our business). We primarily need software to manage our tasks and processes. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll investigate that further.

Many thanks for the clarification. I'll look forward to the possibility of being able to pay for this option in the future. The downside of Trello having a delete option for us, is that because we are ISO9001 certified, all our work flows need to be accountable, and I know our quality department won't allow us to adopt software that allows our staff to delete a task (card) without trace.
