comment Playing YouTube videos at half speed?
If the YouTube video has been downloaded (usually as a Flash video) then the conversion step is not necessary. It can be played in VLC Player as is (at half the speed).

BCdotNET, it is just that sending a download URL found by KeepVid to someone else (or to one's download program) will not work.

comment I need a tool to automatically do a Google Translate operation on all tweets in my Twitter feed
The link now says "Deprecated". On 2011-05-26, Google announced that the Google Translate API had been deprecated and that it would cease functioning on 2011-12-01.

"LinkedIn visual connections maps". Are you referring to InMaps?

The URLs from KeepVid only works in the same browser context (cookies?). See What happened to YouTube download URLs?.

I would like to be proven wrong, but I don't think it is possible to use the URLs outside of a browser context (cookies?) after the changes in 2010-07. See What happened to YouTube download URLs?.

@aberry: instead of posing questions in an answer it is better if you post a new question.

Thanks. No problem with the default. I think this mostly works for the intended purpose. However if JavaScript is allowed from microsoft.com NoScript (1.9.9.11) complains: "NoScript filtered a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) attempt from [chrome:]. Technical details have been logged to the Console.". (The "chrome:" part is if pasting in the URL in a new tab. It is "webapps.stackexchange.com"; if opening it from you answer.). It could be the parentheses [ "(" and ")" ] that NoScript chokes on.

Yes, this is close. There are 4 states when clicking on this. Fortunately it is remembered when another MSDN page is opened in another tab. I also observed that for it to work it does require JavaScript to be allowed from microsoft.com.
