comment How do I download a YouTube video?
+1. It worked for youtube.com/watch?v=zJOS0sV2a24, at least the MP4(SD) format. The FLV(LQ) format, however, did not (silently failed when played with VLC).

Thanks. No problem with the default. I think this mostly works for the intended purpose. However if JavaScript is allowed from microsoft.com NoScript (1.9.9.11) complains: "NoScript filtered a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) attempt from [chrome:]. Technical details have been logged to the Console.". (The "chrome:" part is if pasting in the URL in a new tab. It is "webapps.stackexchange.com"; if opening it from you answer.). It could be the parentheses [ "(" and ")" ] that NoScript chokes on.

Yes, this is close. There are 4 states when clicking on this. Fortunately it is remembered when another MSDN page is opened in another tab. I also observed that for it to work it does require JavaScript to be allowed from microsoft.com.

@eagle: your entry was earlier than Justin Gallagher's entry (webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/2050/…), but only by 4 seconds. His entry got all the votes, though. Consider merging or deleting.

comment Translation memory sites?
It could be this: "A translation memory, or TM, is a database that stores so-called "segments", which can be sentences or sentence-like units (headings, titles or elements in a list), that have been previously translated. A translation-memory system stores the words, phrases and paragraphs that have already been translated and aid human translators. ". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translation_memory.

@Evan Plaice: I agree, with those specific requirements this question should not be CW. Consider making this more clear by putting this information in earlier and in an explicit way. For example in the first sentence and/or the title.
