Facebook has a feature in which they will present you with a Checkpoint (https://www.facebook.com/checkpoint) page if there is a security concern with your account (name change, possible malware infection, etc.). When such a page is presented, you have to verify certain details about your account in order to proceed back into Facebook.

Will issuing a Safety Check (via https://www.facebook.com/about/safetycheck), which can alert family members or friends to my physical status if a natural or human disaster occurs, still notify my friends/family if I am stuck at the account verification page?

I have undeleted this at your request, and I think it's okay now. – jonsca Mar 25 '17 at 21:19
  • @jonsca Thank you. You first named the language problem. My edits were seriously sparked by your helping, so even if you think we're okay now can we restore your original wording to be clear? – prosody-Gab Vereable Context Mar 26 '17 at 13:55
