Context

I use google docs for a lot of applications and recently started using Google Forms. I was using Microsoft Forms, which was working well, but dont have access to Microsoft Forms anymore.

Problem Statement

The survey I use, requires long form answers, and what I found is that the size of the text box for long form answers affects the length/quality of the answer. Google Forms provides a one line box (even for long form answers), while Microsoft Forms provides a bigger text box.

From Microsoft Forms:

From Google Forms:

Question: Is there a way to increase the textbox size that is shown under the question?

I don't see a obvious button to change the text box size while creating the form.

  • Did you tried the paragraph question type? – Rubén Dec 31 '17 at 20:22
  • I have removed your second question which was asking for other website. Asking for recommendation of any website or tool is off-topic here. – serenesat Jan 2 '18 at 12:32
  • @Ruben, the long answer form is the same as the Paragraph question type... – alpha_989 Jan 2 '18 at 13:41
