Not sure why my formula isn't working

It’s super simple but yet returns a formula parse error

=If(A19>A22, “no”, “yes”)

Value of A19 is 30 and the value of A22 is 0

try this:

=IF(A19>A22; "no"; "yes")

instead of “ ” you need to use " "

In my case I'd put single quotes instead of double quotes

  • @wjandrea: yep, same here. Why Sheets won't accept single quotes as well as double quotes, when JavaScript does just that, is a bit mystifying. May 11 at 0:12
