Starting today I started to see in Gmail following message:

enter image description here

each time I click on approve / trash / spam links generated by Wordpress as a response to a new comment appearing in one of my blogs.

This is, of course, a completely false suspicion as all my blogs are trusted by me.

What can I do about it? Is there any known source of Gmail's "knowledge" or some official ratings which leads Gmail to such decision (on whether to display such warining or not)? Or is it -- as always -- some internal, unpublished Google's algorithm and I must learn to live with this?

Are you using HTTPS on your site?

  • No. Does it matter? Is Google going to treat any website accessible without HTTPS as unsafe? Is enabling HTTPS in my blog the only way to get rid of this nag?

Chrome has started marking any such sites as "Not secure" and, from what I've heard, will make this note even more noticeable in future releases. It wouldn't surprise me if that's what's causing what you're seeing.

This question might be better off at Webmasters.

  • I think you may give above comments in form of question stating that this has nothing to do with Gmail itself but rather with website not accessible via HTTP.
