To what extent, if at all, does the list of Kindle e-books which I've purchased leak through to wish lists, etc?

Putting a book on a wish-list, and sharing that list, of course, leaks some data. At a minimum, the books literally on that list. But might Amazon contact anyone with access to that list with tailored suggestions based on my past purchases?

I selected:

Hide all activity on your profile Read less When checked, your public activity above will be hidden on your profile page, but it will still be shown elsewhere on Amazon (for example, on product pages). Your profile photo, bio, or contact information will still be shown unless you delete that information. We will never share what you browse or purchase on Amazon.

While Amazon states that:

We will never share what you browse or purchase on Amazon.

might they not suggest gifts based on browsing or purchase history? In particular: e-books.
