Modern Gmail (this started in 2016-2017) has this extremely annoying nag where if you accidentally click your blank profile photo, it pops up a panel demanding you upload your photo that doesn't close.

"Doesn't close" - as in clicking the "X" (close) button doesn't get rid of it, and clicking the text button reading "Cancel" doesn't get rid of it either.

The only way to get rid of this panel is to reload the page (which takes forever with the newer and "improved" Gmail due to extreme amounts of script bloating) or use uBlock Origin's "element zapper".

How do I block this panel for good?
