I would like to consume emails from G Suite into my personal Gmail. Similar question here: Consume emails from G Suite into my personal Gmail.

But, according to this Google article: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en, I should be able to generate an application specific password, use that instead of my regular G Suite account password, AND keeping the Less secure apps settings OFF (Dis-allow less secure apps access, for better security). However, I'm still getting the following error while trying to add my G Suite account when using the "Add another email address" in my personal Gmail account:

Authentication failed. Please check your username/password and Less Secure Apps access for name@gsuitedomain.com. Server returned error: "535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 535 5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials n7sm1470172qtl.43 - gsmtp , code: 535"
