I have approx 3000 emails in my Gmail that I am wanting to purge. All of the important emails I have put into folders with labels.

I of course do not want to delete these important emails, so deleting all emails without labels is my desired outcome.

Now... before you label this question as a duplicate, I have viewed similar messages on here: Question 1 Question 2

All of which suggest disabling conversation view and using the search term has:nouserlabels. However this returned about 50 emails that have since been deleted, but now no longer returns any search results.

I have folders with subfolders and sub-subfolders, so I also attempted to get around this by usign !in:parentFolderName but this did not work to not include subfolders...

Can anybody help?
