I have a question. How to obtain access to the Contacts API from LinkedIn (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/shared/integrations/people/contacts-api)

I'm assuming the problem is that you get something like:

GET https://api.linkedin.com/v2/contactExporterTasks
 - - - - -
{"serviceErrorCode":65604,"message":"Empty oauth2 access token","status":401}

You need the Oauth2 authorization key. This is because LinkedIn doesn't want just anybody to access the API, only authorized programs. Authorized by who? It seem like it's enough to point the user to a special LinkedIn page where they can click an "authorize this app to access my LinkedIn data" button. You will get a token that you'll have to include in the headers of your HTTP GET. They have a section on this in their docs.

By the way, I think this question is a better fit for StackOverflow rather than here, as it is a question about developing software that talks to webapps rather than using webapps.
