Would someone please help me script a trigger to start a macro in Google Sheets running on android 7.0.
As Probaton asked in 2015 I have a similar problem. My macro works great in Google sheets on my PC. But the Sheets app in Android 7.0 does not provide a way to start a macro.
The name of the macro is QTYClear
. A sample of the macro script is below
function QTYClear() {
var spreadsheet = SpreadsheetApp.getActive();
spreadsheet.getRange('D7').activate();
spreadsheet.getCurrentCell().setValue('0');
spreadsheet.getRange('D8').activate();
spreadsheet.getCurrentCell().setValue('0');
spreadsheet.getRange('D9').activate();
};
We tried unsuccessfully (several times) to the make the script previously provided work.
We just need a very simple way to start the macro. The people using this google sheet and the macro are computer illiterate. Asking them to copy a cell and paste that cell to a column of cells is too hard for them to do on a very small smartphone screen. However we can teach then to use a data validation pull down menu which creates a data change.
Looking forward to someone helping us to solve this problem
