I would like to easily add a new sender to an existing gmail filter rule. For example, suppose I have a complex filter that operates based on a list of several senders. When I receive a newsletter from a new sender, I'd like to be able to easily add this new sender to the existing rule.

For now, I have to copy the sender's email address, click through the settings options to get to the filter, open the filter and paste the new sender into the list.

Is there an existing solution of any sort, to streamline the process of adding a sender to an existing rule, whether through scripting or other canned tool?

  • Removed the part that ask for an extension software recommendations are off-topic here. Please add more details about what kind of solution are you open to adopt. By the way Have you considered to use Google Apps Script? Jul 25, 2021 at 16:37
  • @Rubén that would be a question for Stack Overflow. I am looking for an extension or other solution to ideally make it a one or two drag or click operation to add an additional sender to an existing rule. This question could obviously straddle multiple Stack Exchange sites, but Web Applications strikes me as the most applicable as it's about solving a problem with a web application's user experience. An appropriate answer wouldn't be, "roll your own apps script," but could be "here's an apps script that does it," or "here's an autohotkey or greasemonkey script that does this," or an extension.
