I have two Google sheets each with 4000 columns and 8 rows.

I would like to merge these two sheets together using 6 of the common columns and writing over 2 of the uncommon rows. Into a new sheet. Is this possible to do?

Here is an example below showing my same/different columns each column has 4000 rows

  • Inventory # - Same
  • Name - Same
  • Description- Same
  • Part Number - Same
  • Group - Same
  • Cost Price - Different
  • Product Model Number- Same
  • Price For Sale - Different

  • Hi and welcome to WebApps. I'm sure this can be done, and there are several ways that you might do this. Would you please edit your question to describe how you have tried to solve the problem yourself. It is not completely clear what you intend by "Different", would you please supply some sample data and an example of how the "merged" result would appear. You've also tagged "Excel" - why?

  • Hi. You said I would like to merge these two sheets together using 6 of the common columns and writing over 2 of the uncommon rows. The columns that vary are "Cost" and "Price" and you say that you want t' "write over" these columns. But which of the 2 sheets takes precedence- Sheet1 or Sheet2?

  • Please clarify your specific problem or provide additional details to highlight exactly what you need. As it's currently written, it's hard to tell exactly what you're asking.
