The From: of email messages from me sent by Gmail contain my name - as expected.

The From: of email messages from me sent by Google Calendar don't. So they get missed by a recipient's search for my name in his/her inbox.

Anyone know a workaround for the sender?

  • Are you sure about that? My experience is that notifications from a user's own calendar come from Google Calendar <calendar-notification@google.com> but invitations come from the organizer, and acceptance/rejection emails come from the attendees. gCal removes invites automatically once added to the calendar. Users may have their settings to automatically add invites to calendar. This could be a case of "there isn't anything to search for." Do you have an example email to show so we can look into it further? Mar 1 at 20:46
