I need a webapp which creates arbitrary long text which I can use. Example given:

Any suggestions?

Lorem Ipsum is nice, but HTML Ipsum is better if you want to test the formatting too.

Sample output below:

HTML Ipsum Presents

Header Level 2

  1. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
  2. Aliquam tincidunt mauris eu risus.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vivamus magna. Cras in mi at felis aliquet congue. Ut a est eget ligula molestie gravida. Curabitur massa. Donec eleifend, libero at sagittis mollis, tellus est malesuada tellus, at luctus turpis elit sit amet quam. Vivamus pretium ornare est.

Header Level 3

  • Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
  • Aliquam tincidunt mauris eu risus.

#header h1 a {
    display: block;
    width: 300px;
    height: 80px;
}

http://www.lipsum.com/ works pretty good, and even works in other languages.

I just found Fillerama: "A lorem ipsum filler text generator, only with Futurama quotes."

It's fun and humorous, but perhaps not fit for professional presentations:

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. Also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you? Can we have Bender Burgers again? Hey, what kinda party is this? There's no booze and only one hooker.

BlindTextGenerator looks quite nice. It offers more variantions of the content:

  • Lorem ipsum, Cicero, Kafka, Pangram etc
  • HTML-Tags
  • Paragraphs

www.lorem-ipsum.info/generator3 looks promising.

    A description of features, etc. would make a better answer than just a link. @akira: if the link text had said "Lorem Ipsum - Generator3", but the URL was http://nevergonnagiveyouup.rickroll.bogustld, you still would have been rick-rolled. The = key is your friend in lynx. Commented Jul 15, 2010 at 16:44
  • @Dennis Williamson: ... i think i know how to handle a browser. that was not the point of my first comment, neither was it the point of my 2nd comment.
