Well there is no way to configure it with Blogger.
But what I've realized is that this can be done with jQuery.
To do this, you'll need to go to the template area and click “edit HTML”. Do a search for /body
. Just above that, insert
. What you have now, should be this:
some code

some more code
The proper jQuery calls can be figured out from this page in which they give an example asking for almost exactly what you want to do. This example has been copied below (from http://api.jquery.com/contents/)

Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit
esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur.

We can employ the .contents()
method to help convert this blob of text into three well-formed paragraphs:
$( ".container" )
.contents()
.filter(function() {
return this.nodeType === 3;
})
.wrap( "

" )
.end()
.filter( "br" )
.remove();
Granted, you'll need to do some slight changes of the above to make it work. But that I will leave for you to figure out. :-)

with a CSS rule likebr+br {display: none}
in Theme > Edit HTML where you'll find a bunch of styles under
<b:skin>...
