I started to compose an email using a company's corporate email. I got blasted by an ad for a Google service:

I use Gmail for my personal throw-away account. However, I don't believe there was any cross pollination of settings because I use different browsers for personal and corporate. So personal (via Firefox) and corporate (via Opera) should be completely segregated.

How do I disable the crapaware in corporate email?

In Google's view, that's not an ad. It's an announcement of a new feature. – ale Jan 3 '15 at 17:44

The Gmail team crossed the line there from introducing new features to advertising other Google services. I bet the controls over paid ads won't affect this, but at least it should only happen rarely.

My suggestion is to use the Help > Report an Issue... feature to send feedback.
