Imgur does not provide a direct link to images any more.

Still. You have a couple of alternatives:

Alternative 1

Right-click on the image and choose Open Image in New Tab
Open Image in New Tab
Once the image is opened, copy the image address

Alternative 2

Right-click on the image and choose Copy Image Address
Copy Image Address

Alternative 3

After you uploaded the image click on the little arrow on the top right corner of the image and go to Get share links
Get share links

Once there get the BBCode link surrounded by the [img] tag. the image tag

  • This seems out of date. imgur have gone out of their way to stop you having a direct image link. They now turn images into videos and you have to embed JavaScript to post them. It really sucks. – Jez Dec 6 '16 at 10:04
  • @Jez Funny you should say that. I just tried both of Alternative 1 and Alternative 2 and they work just fine. I really cannot see any issues there. Am I missing something? – marikamitsos Dec 16 '16 at 11:21

Yes, you are missing something, marikamitsos. As Jez stated, imgur has gone out of its way to hide any way to direct link images. It used to be readily accessible. Option #1 posted above is no longer available. – Guest Feb 22 '17 at 21:47

@jahroy Because "That link works, but it is NOT a direct link", you have to apply one of the alternative solutions as desribed on the answer, to get the direct link "to just the image, without any of the imgur nonsense". You really do NOT need the direct link feature. – marikamitsos May 21 '17 at 6:46
