Confluence is an enterprise-class collaboration and wiki system from Atlassian.
Atlassian Confluence is used by many commercial and non-profit organizations, including several Fortune 500 companies as well as high-profile open source projects.
Confluence features several enhancements over traditional wikis:
- Content is organized in so called wiki spaces, which can be thought of as sub-wikis.
- Content is organized hierachically.
Atlassian offers free licenses to open source projects, as well as "$10 Starter Licenses" for 10-user teams where the license fee goes to Room To Read.
JIRA is extensible and a wide range of plugins are offered which extend it and integrate it with a multitude of other products.
