Nothing will happen except the following things

The bug appears to be related to corruption between the gmail and hangouts profiles that are supposedly synchronized. Updating the picture in hangouts fixed the issue, even though that is supposedly shared with gmail and updating in gmail left two versions.

Older Facebook photos could be identified using the IDs stored in here 2431550_1344327517562357_1434551231_n.jpg but this is no longer so for obvious privacy reasons.

Go to the Likes page of your profile and click Edit.
Remove your embarrassing like from its category by hovering over it
