Well, whoever lied about you being dead did so under the penalty of perjury. IMPORTANT: Under penalty of perjury, this form is solely for the reporting of a deceased person to memorialize. It looks like under an older Google Profiles system (such as Buzz) it was possible to have a pretty URL like you've found above. Google axed it as a default however, in part because it effectively exposed users' username / email addresses. The best article I could find on the topic was this blog post, which mentions: if you had selected a vanity URL for ...

Have a look at this FAQ entry Currently, there's no way to change the default language of your profile once you've set it up in a particular language. You can't really. Or at least it's not available unless you email support. And even then, who knows if they'll oblige. If you need to swap around what username and email address is used, you can easily change them around. You'll just need to set up a third username and email pair that will be used in the triage. Say the account you want to delete/remove/...

You cannot remove your username. Once you have a username the only options are Start a new account (most likely you don't want that) Change to a new username (you can only do this once) A third possible (rare) option would be that a Business/entity decides to claim ownership of your username as Facebook reserves the right to reclaim usernames.

Facebook doesn't support neither animated GIFs nor video files. Moreover, no self-respecting web service with user-generated content will ever allow SWF files because they're not multimedia but rather executables (i.e. applications) and pose incredible security risk.

They are offering only Sydney (Australia), Singapore and Tokyo (Japan) for now. And they will expand to Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth (Australia), Osaka (Japan), Hong Kong, Shanghai (China), Taipei (Taiwan), or so it seems. The company is based in Sydney, Australia, so that's most likely why it started with that part of the world.

Last.fm doesn't have the concept of "private" profiles, neither can you selectively hide modules, so this isn't possible. sidenote: I use last.fm for music discovery - hiding these is pointless and goes exactly against why you're using last.fm.

Circles can take a few hours (maybe a day) to show up in your circles. Also a maximum of around 5k people can be shown in that list.

1

If you have added people to your circles using email addresses, and those people do not use Google+, they will not show up as "in your circles" on your profile. This explains the different numbers you see. I cannot find a way to hide the fact that you are in someone else's circle.
