While you still can't use tags (like <del>), in February 2014, Trello added the ability to cross out text using ~~foo~~.

It is a three-step process to remove a sticker: Hover the mouse in the card so the pencil in the upper-right corner appears (in this example, for the second card that has the sticker): Left click on the pencil and click on the sticker: The result is: Click on Remove. The sticker is now gone, regardless of whether Save is pressed or not.

You can sort of fake it by using three backticks (```) to create a code block like this: ``` | Tables | Are | Cool | | ------------- |:-------------:| -----:| | col 3 is | right-aligned | $1600 | | col 2 is | centered | $12 | | zebra stripes | are neat | $1 | ``` which creates this: | Tables | Are ...

There is no Delete options for lists in Trello but there is one way to do it. Step#1: Create a new Board with any name. Step#2: Go to the list you want to delete, and find the 3 dots next to the list title. Step#3: Go to "Move list" and select the board that you have created, click "Move" Step#4: Go to the new board containing the moved list. Step#5: ...

Include formatted code by wrapping it in three backticks (```) at the beginning and end of the block, or by starting a line with four spaces. Important note — the triple backticks have to be on a separate line and ensure you have a blank line before and after the code block.

I realize this is an old question but I could not comment on the top answer due to shortage of reputation. Currently it is possible—see http://help.trello.com/customer/portal/articles/1145462-searching-for-cards-all-boards- for more information. Trello searches across boards so it will find all the archived cards in all the lists with the specified name. ...

I'm not aware that there is currently any way to apply a label to all cards in a list at the same time. There is a proposal on the Trello development board to implement multi-select to make bulk actions possible. A quick way to individually assign labels is to hover your mouse over individual cards and press 0-9 to assign the associated labels. To see ...

They are logged in the JSON export of the card. The current description under the desc key, and the previous revisions of the card are under the actions key, look for old -> desc.

Further to the other answers: within the Description, you can also embed images that have been added as attachments to the card. (Note: this will only work in the description, and not in comments.) Right-click on the attachment image and select "Copy Link Address" In the Description, enter the following: ![](link address goes here) e.g. ![](https://...

It may not be automatic to assign yourself when creating new cards, but this instruction from Trello is about as it gets without being automatic. From Trello: To assign yourself to a card, press the space key while hovering over the card or when the card is open.

One way to easily transfer labels from one board to another, is to create a dummy card, assign all available labels to it and then move it to the new board. In this way only the default unnamed labels have to be removed.

You can create a sublist in a list. Just type three times space then create an element of a list like you would normally do.

Trello has recently added this feature to mark a card done by clicking on due date and it does turn green. http://blog.trello.com/mark-a-trello-card-as-done No more moving cards into done list or labeling it done. If you add a due date to a card, once the task is completed you can now check it off on the card, changing it from a stress-inducing red ...

Check out Parent/Child Management for Trello extension. We faced the same problem for our Trello projects and have created this extension. It works great for us. Moreover, it's completely open source, so feel free to pull source code and contribute!

I believe this is now possible. Filtered view URLs can be accessed by filtering a board, and accessing the updated URL (or clicking the green "Filtering is on" button). Copy the updated URL and share it or bookmark it to access a filtered view of the board. The URL looks like this: https://trello.com/b/4Y0idQQT/kitchen-project?menu=filter&filter=label:...

After some experimenting with Zapier, I've managed to create a "zap" (i.e. automatic handler) that does the following: Suppose you're working on a feature which has the following Trello card: https://trello.com/c/NuSGfssX/ You push a commit to Bitbucket, which commit message contains tr(NuSGfssX), e.g.: hg ci -m "Finished the very important feature tr(...

Some of the tasks you mentioned can be performed with the keyboard. I.e. while you're not in add card mode, you can press "3" to add the third label to the card your mouse is over. So just hovering over all of the cards and pressing 3 over each one will add the appropriate label. So take a look at the keyboard shortcuts (which has its own keyboard shortcut "?...

First open your card in your Trello interface, then click at the "Share and more..." link on the bottom of the left sidebar of the card; then click at the "Delete" link.

It's not possible. You can, instead, create several checklists, and you'll have two levels: First level: a 'list' of checklists Second level: list in each checklist, as usual Advantages: When all tasks of second level are done, then the first level is shown as done. Disadvantages: You can't have more sub levels. You can't mark as done a checklist ...

As of November 21 2014, Trello allows you to add unlimited labels: http://blog.trello.com/introducing-unlimited-labels/

You can select all the text of the checklist items, starting over the checklist to avoid the drag and drop area. Then, insert the text into a new card. Push enter on the keyboard, Trello will ask you to make single cards out of every line, say yes, then archive every second card with the c key. Voila.

As I always wanted this feature, I wrote a bot that keeps cards in sync across Boards. See if it suits your needs. From the description: Hello, my name is cardsync and I am a bot designed to keep cards in sync, which means I update the content of one Trello card to reflect changes made on other card. Also, here's a small gif animation that shows it ...

Trello is phasing out board descriptions. The button is no longer available for new boards or boards without descriptions. The problem was that most people didn’t know about the feature, and making it more prominent or further investing in it didn’t seem valuable. The team recommends adding a card on the top left that says “Hey, look here for information ...

You need to use %20 to represent spaces. Here is the correct code: [Click here to open a template email](mailto:abc@xyz.com?Subject=Subject%20Text&Body=Thank%20you)

If a card has a due date, placing in a different list or changing the label won't disable alerts as the date approaches and passes. Removing the date is a workaround, but one that obviously prevents future analysis on actual vs. target dates. An ideal solution would provide the desired status and disable due date notifications.

There is an open source clone of Trello, that is actually quite good! It's called Kanban, and it is shockingly similar feel to Trello https://github.com/somlor/kanban Very cool. It only has the basic features at the moment (attachments, calendar, tagging, etc aren't there) but it does boards comments and cards very well, and that might be all you need. ...
