I'm currently CTO of the Common Crawl Foundation, which provides an enormous archive of crawled text.
Previously, I worked at Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian on the Event Horizon Telescope, had a restaurant recommendation startup, and was an Engineer on the Wayback team at the Internet Archive.
Previously, I was the CTO & Founder at blekko, a search engine. Blekko was purchased by IBM Watson in March, 2015.
Previously, I was a Distinguished Engineer and Founder at PathScale, where I was the system architect of the InfiniPath supercomputing interconnect. This technology lived on in Intel's Omni-Path Interconnect, which is now offered by Cornelis Networks.
